A synthetic-fill mummy sleeping bag rated to 0°C. Warm enough for spring and autumn nights in the Pyrenees, packs down small, and dries fast if it catches some morning dew.

A pair of lightweight chain crampons that strap over my hiking boots. Perfect for icy patches, hard-packed snow, and frosty winter trails in the Pyrenees — quick to put on and they pack flat in the bag when I don't need them.

Tarp tent · 2-person ultralight
A hybrid tarp/tent for 2 that pitches with two trekking poles instead of dedicated tent poles — just 1.3 kg total. Two doors, two vestibules, and a tiny pack size make it my go-to shelter for fast-and-light overnighters in the Pyrenees.
